When the rain came

It’s been dry here in Bowling Green. No rain has fallen on these grounds in quite a while. Although no rain means no green, it also means no  growth which means no mowing which means no work. And because no work means staying home more, I was able to do some things around the house that I would not have otherwise. At first I wasn’t quite sure what to do with all the extra time. I was able to sleep in a little, wake up, poor some coffee, grab my Bible (and often times a hoody- not that it was cold, it was just cozy), and head out to the porch swing for some prayer and reading of the Word, when usually I would wake up, change, wash my face, brush my pearlies, tie on my chucks, grab some coffee and get in the truck. Although house chores are still intertwined throughout the day-the most enjoyable for me being laundry-things have been pretty chill here lately….beside this weekend.
P.S. Mom wanted to make sure that y’all know we do eat, I just chose not to in the mornings sometimes. :)
Today I basically finished my quilt top. I have one more straight seem to sew and I’m DONE!  I never thought it would come. But it has and now it’s time to pick out my backing and find some batting. I’m still thinking about waiting until I can get those things with Kait. We started at the same time and I’d really like to finish at the same time too. I don’t want to be on completely different steps, although, I think that she’s right on my tail.
Also Stossi is moving here on Thursday. I’m so excited for her!  I’ve been praying for the past year or so that the Lord would bring me a friend that is close to my age. Two years apart is nothing! Even though we met for the first time in the Spring, I feel like we’ve always known each other and I’m oh so excited that the Lord has brought her here to Kentucky! Not only is she moving here but so is Ally! This is also a huge answer to prayer. Click on their names to read about their stories and why they’re coming to Western. It’s really exciting stuff.
