Excuses. Excuses.

Helpy (Natalie) has inspired me to spice up the looks of my blog a little. So, for those of you who saw it before I changed it; what do ya think? I hope you like. I do.

I was so excited to start a new and fresh blog this Spring. Fail. But, if I may, my excuse is simply, and understandably to some, summer. Summer 2011 has been like no other. Unlike other families, summer is not so much our break. Summer is our working season...in addition to late Spring and early Fall. Food needs harvesting, selling, freezing, or canning. Grass needs mowing. Bees need keeping. Yard needs tending. Kenzie Girl needs caring (and soon will baby number two, Drew). Canoe needs painting (which I do plan to do...) Yes. We started the summer off with some new, some old, and exciting experiences. And to think that we're already half way through it. My goodness....

I hope I didn't make it sound like all we do is work and no play....because that certainly is not true. We play. And we play hard....as you'll see in the following pictures. The first several are from our trip to Holiday World. Then there are some of us just hanging out. And then there are some of Natalie and my trip from Houston, TX to Bowling Green, KY with my dad's new truck. You'll also see in here a picture of a sweet old lady who Sadie, Olivia, Natalie, and I have all become friends with this summer. We are "her girls" and she is "our old lady."

Well, the coffee I had this afternoon to chase away a headache is finally wearing off. So finally, goodnight, y'all. Shalom.
