Texas bound

Sunday afternoon found me in an airplane Texas bound. Last minute? You could say that....

At around 9:30, as I walked down the stairs to Love Field's baggage claim in Dallas, I saw Chase standing at the bottom waiting for me. So excited was I!

Monday morning I awoke to Joshua jumping on me. "Time to wake up, Sam! Breakfast is ready!" And ready it was. Miss Janice made eggs and biscuit and gravy. So yummy! I met sweet Mamaw and Papaw that morning. Quite possibly one of the cutest couples I've met in my life, by the way.

Chase gave me a tour of their property that morning. We saw the goats, and the dogs. Tiger is their new Australian Sheppard puppy.  HE'S SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE! ;)

Monday night Chase took me on a date. The best date ever, might I add. We picked up BBQ sandwiches and then headed for Papaw's farm. We ate out on the dock that overlooked a beautiful pond surrounded by tall trees. It had cooled off a good bit and the sun was setting. It was perfect. Oh! so perfect. (We also loved on the three donkeys a little. Made me want one.)

This morning I awoke to birthday wishes and hugs. While it was still cool, Chase and I spent about an hour of our morning on the porch swing talking and laughing.  For lunch we picked up Mexican food and brought it back to the house. We all ate so much no one (but Joshua) wanted dinner. After we played a game of Texas Monopoly, Miss Janice took me to get something for my birthday. I got a knitting tool so I can make hats. When we got home we had cake, cobbler, and ice cream. Mamaw and Papaw gave me some homemade potholders (one of which is shaped as the state of Texas) and lotion. This evening Mamaw taught me how to make my hat. She's a very good teacher. A little while ago, I had to give hugs and say goodbye. Chase, William, and I are leaving in the morning. This makes me sad. I love it here and hope that I can come again soon. Very soon. I enjoyed my stay here in Texas oh so very much. I love Mamaw and Papaw. How sweet they are.
